Sydney’s Annual Candlelight Memorial
This Sunday 17 May our communities will join together for the annual AIDS Candlelight Memorial to commemorate and honour those whose lives have been lost to an AIDS-related illness. Please join us at this poignant event to remember and reflect.
We are absolutely thrilled that this year Tommy Murphy will be our guest speaker and will make the memorial address. Tommy wrote the script for the brilliant stage adaptation of Timothy Conigrave’s iconic memoir Holding the Man and is the associate producer for the upcoming film version of the book.
The event is co-produced by ACON and Positive Life NSW and will be held at the Eternity Playhouse, 39 Burton Street, Darlinghurst. Doors open 2.30pm for 3pm start.

We’ve Had A Makeover!
To mark our 30th anniversary we’ve launched a fabulous new website and visual identity.
With a new tagline of ‘Here For Health’, the makeover is designed to highlight ACON’s leading role in relation to HIV prevention, HIV support and LGBTI health in NSW. The brand refresh also includes a colourful new logo that combines a cross (representing ‘here’) and a plus (representing ‘health’).

Raffle Drawn Today For A Trip Of A Lifetime!

Our AVP supports LGBTI people in our communities who have experienced homophobic, transphobic, domestic or family violence. After the huge success of last year, ACON is going to be out and about at VIVID Sydney (22 May- Mon 8 June) again selling a limited range of quality light up toys every night to raise funds for our work to end HIV transmission in NSW.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO HELP US REALISE THE HUGE POTENTIAL OF THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY.
Please let your friends, family and work mates know that ACON needs their help over the 18 nights of the Festival. We will provide a dinner allowance voucher, and can provide beanies and gloves if you need them, plus our brand new, long sleave t-shirts. All you need to bring along is your smile and energy.
